Word(le) Up!

Wordles... oh. so. fun. I completed this assignment and then I just plugged in everything I could find to see what it came up with. I think I made about 20 wordles before finally stopping and getting back to work..

Making the wordle that was from my faux cover letter for a Web 2.0 job was really interesting. I typed out everything without over thinking it (and without thinking of what would happen once I "wordled" it) and what I found most interesting was the words that ended up being the most prominent ones of the wordle. It puts emphasis on the words that would (and should) be most emphasizing in a job as a Web 2.0 position. For example, the biggest word was "web"... well, duh. But then there was "communities," "applications," "collaborative," "tools," and "sharing." These words are all practices and tools that would be imperative to holding a Web 2.0 position at a company. And this was completely unintentional, or, at least, unintentional for the purposes of the wordle. The use of these particular words were obviously intentional for the purposes of my "cover letter," as they are some of the most important elements of a Web 2.0 job.

Oh wordles, how smart you are.
