Mind the Gap

I hate to admit this, but I hadn't considered my course objectives for the last couple of weeks. I guess I got caught up in the work we've been doing versus considering where we were on our trek. It was nice to go back and assess and see how things are coming along.

I was pleasantly surprised as to how much we've accomplished thus far. It's wild when I sit and think about what little knowledge I had of Web 2.0 when I started this class. I'd never even heard the phrase! Boy, how things have changed. When I sit and think of all the different programs and tools I've either had exposure to or even worked with thus far, it kind of blows my mind a little.

I mentioned this on my website, but I really think we're right on track with our course objectives. We have accomplished quite a bit so far and considering where we are in the semester, it is as it should be. We still have to delve into collaborative work a bit more and integration of the tools and apps we've learned about thus far, which will inevitably happen with our upcoming collaborative group projects. We also are still in the process of developing our interactive learning environment-- I think this is a semester-long class goal. As time has progressed, I have seen more and more of this happening, and I think our group projects will only bring us closer to its fruition.

I think we're right on track in where we've been and where we're going. And considering how far we've come already, I'm so very excited to see where we go from here!

  1. Good stuff! Now, if you bump into someone, can you coherently define web 2.0 and (separately) social media?
